Organizing Tip

Do you have a bunch of dolls and hate storing them in a big plastic tub?  Try this.

Store your dolls standing up in magazine file.

 Turn the files around, and nobody will know you have a terrible secret lol.

I got seven male dolls in one!  Not bad.  Hee, hee, looks like a circuit party in the 90s.  Oops I'm old.

I used IKEA's FLYT magazine holders.  Super cheap.  If you have a space that needs to look nice as well as be doll storage you can make them fancy with pretty paper, like this!

Seeing Red

... so these are the rules I made myself when purging the clutter!

1.  Do I love it?       
2.  Do I have a real plan for this? 
3.  Am I taking proper care of this?

If I answered no to any of these questions, I let it go.  Goodwill, re-homed or trashed.

4.  Can I obtain this again?

If the answer was yes, then I let it go.


... here are a couple mantras

1.  I'm not poor, I can buy this again.
2.  Make room for better things.

... and while I'm at it, here are a few questions I ask myself when deciding if I should buy something collectible

1.  Will this improve my collection?

If I answer yes, then I may buy it.

2.  Is this the focus of my collection?
3.  Will I be able to care for this properly?

If I answer no, then I need to move on.

4.  Am I buying this just to buy something?  

If I answer yes, then I need to get out of that store.  Especially at Tuesday Morning lol

Even Super Quicker

I Spy with a 1/6 Eye

This photo of the chairs imported sideways, no idea why.  I tried a few times to get it right, oh well.  These were painted black for the post.

Here's a photo of the Jack Bauer that started it all.  I used the brief case, shirt, cell phone, guns and sunglasses.
This is the DVD player that was used for the flat screen over the fireplace.

Here's the packaging for the fireplace.  I didn't really need to modify this piece for the post.

This is the entire Chelsea Getting Ready playset from My Scene Barbie.  The sofa was used for the blog, it was painted and then covered in a scrap of raw silk.
